NIGHTLY BERTEDARUS AT BALAI IBADAT KG SENGKARAI TUTONG CAME TO AN END

The Takmir Committee of Balai Ibadat Kg Sengkarai, Tutong organised a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony yesterday evening to mark the culmination of a tadarus in the month of Ramadhan. It took place at the Balai Ibadat Kg Sengkarai, Tutong.

Awg Hj Suffian bin Hj Bungsu, the Assistant Tutong District Officer, was the guest of honour at the function.

The function began with the recital of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Imam Hj Hamaffi bin Md Yassin, followed by a mass recitation of the verses from Al-Quran by 30 readers and the reading of Tahlil and Doa Khatam. To mark the event, Dikir Marhaban was also presented by the Dikir Group of the Balai Ibadat.

The function was then continued with a welcoming speech by Imam Hj Hamaffi bin Md Yassin and the presentation of certificiates to the participants of various activities ( Takmir Ramadhan ) organised by The Takmir Committee of Balai Ibadat Kg Sengkarai, Tutong during this Holy month of Ramadhan namely ; the workshop on how to prepare or wear a SERBAN, participants of Scheme “ANAK KU BIJAK DUIT”, the Mak Andam course, reading Qur’an with proper TAJWID course and lastly but not least, workshop on the reading of Doa Ziarah Hari Raya.The event proceeded with the breaking of fast and followed by Maghrib mass prayer.

Also present at the event were Penghulu Mukim Pekan Tutong, Awg Hj Azahari bin Iradat, The Tutong Mosque Senior Officer, Awg Hj Md Deli bin Hj Raya and Ketua Kg Sengkarai, Awg Hj Mumin bin Abd Razak.
